FRIDAY 24TH OCTOBER
GHOSTS BY CANDELIGHT
McGrigor Hall, 85 Fourth Avenue C013 9EB
3pm matinee | 7.30pm | £15 | Refreshments/bar
Prepare yourself for a spine-tingling evening as three actors of Frinton Summer Theatre fame summon spirits from the other world and relate to you some of the world's classic ghost and vampire stories. Expect the likes of M.R. James, Charles Dickens, Shirley Jackson and Edgar Allen Poe, to name a few, whose tales will have you clinging to your seats – but hopefully not rushing for the exit!

Ghost stories have been told throughout history and across cultures, evolving from ancient beliefs about spirits to the modern-day fascination with paranormal phenomena. The tales often reflect societal anxieties, moral lessons, and the human fascination with life, death, and the unknown.

Why do we like them? Why do we like to scare ourselves? Where is that sound coming from? And what is that shadow in the dark?
Expect some candles, some goosebumps, some ghouls and a fright or two.

Dress gothic or black if you fancy. Garlic optional.
